ISLAND SOS

by

Tim Walters, Evie Clarke and Dulcie Walters

Two islands on opposite sides of the world. What happens to each of them when humans arrive?

Beautiful text and stunning art are brought together in this wonderful and thought-provoking book about the environment.

About the author

I have been a teacher and headteacher for over 35 years. I am the author of two books on Growth Mindset (mindsetters.gg). I am a school improvement adviser, and provide supervision and coaching to help our busy and super school leaders. In my spare time I like water sports, live music and spending time with my family.

About the illustrator

I’m a watercolour artist from the Isle of Wight, who loves using bright colours to bring my imagination to life. Nature is a big inspiration for me – being outside always sparks new ideas and keeps my work full of wonder and joy. I value the environment deeply and hope that the illustrations in this book can help you feel more of a connection to the world around you and maybe even inspire you to make a positive change for your community. Most of all I like making art and makes people happy!

About the text designer

I’m an artist with a passion for the environment and how we can help it. Nature has always been important to me as an artist. It allows me to connect with the world and create new ideas, whether through getting outside and participating in water sports or just appreciating the beauty of nature. Eco-friendly groups and initiatives at school helped me to appreciate how important it is to care for the nature that surrounds us. Be passionate, be proactive, every little thing makes a difference!
